Here are some instructions on how to access SAS on a machine with Windows 3.1. I have done this in Smith lab, as for other locations. 1) Turn the computer on and wait for the menu to appear. 2) Select "Run Windows 3.1" 3) Select library "Software-Lib" 4) After windows begins find and double click the icon "CWRUnet Software". 5) Double click "Math & Statistics" 6) Double click "SAS 6.1" 7) At this point you may be able to run SAS if the setup procedures have been executed on the computer you're using. If so, simply double click SAS 6.1, otherwise, a) Double click "Setup for Win32". This is an upgrade to Windows 3.1. Follow the prompts until finished. b) Windows will restart after this setup, you then need to run "SAS 6.1 setup". Again follow the prompts until finished. You're now ready to run SAS. Let me know if any questions. Scott sas11@po.cwru.edu
