Additional Problem: two years ago, 50% of the applications for a Gold MasterCard were accepted. In a recent random sample of eight Gold MasterCard applications, 7 were accepted. Is there sufficient evidence at a significance level of 0.10 to support that the proportion of Gold MasterCard applications accepted is higher today (as compared to two years ago)? Perform the appropriate test. (State the hypotheses, observed test statistic value, p-value, and decision).
