Statistics 208 is a continuation of Statistics 207. It
introduces the powerful ideas of classical and modern statistics. It
covers the basic concepts and most commonly used techniques in
statistics. The emphasis is on applications. The topics are: inference
about one and two populations: parametric and nonparametric
techniques, analysis of variance, simple linear regression and
correlation, multiple linear regression, analysis of contingency
tables, goodness-of-fit tests and special topics (if we have
time).
