The class of Neutral to the Right (NR) priors, (Doksum 1974), contains almost all known families of prior distributions in the nonparametric Bayesian setting including the Dirichlet (Ferguson 1973), Beta (Hjort 1990) and Beta-Stacy (Walker and Muliere 1997) processes. Some curiosities such as characterization via the posterior, weak posterior consistency and support of NR priors and, in particular, Beta processes will be discussed. Explicit connections between Beta and Beta-Stacy processes and non-trivial connections between the Dirichlet and Beta processes will be shown.
